Xiaomi to launch Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2 on Sep 11:Features, price..






Xiaomi is set to launch the Mi Mix 2 at an event that will take place in China on September 11. Last week Xiaomi took to the Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo, to confirm that the successor of last year's Mi Mix was coming. Along with confirming the launch date, Xiaomi also shared an image of the upcoming Mi Mix 2 which hinted at the bezel-less screen of the phone. The company has now released a video teaser which notes that Xiaomi will also announce another device at the Sept 11 launch event. This will be the Mi Note 3 and it has also been hinted by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin. 

Just the way last year Xiaomi announced the Mi Note 2 with the Mi Mix, this year too the company will launch a new high-end Mi Note phone along with the new Mix. Interestingly, there is also the talk the company may also announce the update to Mi Notebook too on September 11.





Xiaomi's co-founder Lin Bin on Friday posted a teaser image of the Mi Note 3. The company executive also confirmed that the upcoming Mi Note 3 will be a larger version of the recently announced flagship phone the Mi 6. Going by the teaser, Mi Note 3, the successor of the last year's Mi Note 2, will come in three colours - two shades of blue and the third one will be black. Apart from the teaser image, Xiaomi also shared a teaser video of the Mi Note 3 on Friday.

Mi Note 3 has been subjected to several leaks and rumours which suggest that the device will come with bezel-less display. The teaser doesn't reveal much detail about the front of the device. It shows some glimpses of the back panel. It shows that the Mi Note 3 will come with a glossy back cover and in blue colour. The video doesn't reveal any further details about the Mi Note 3.

Going by the rumours, Mi Note 3 is expected to come with a dual camera set-up. The device, as confirmed by the co-founder himself will be a bigger version of the Mi 6 which comes with a 5.15-inch display. Rumour says that the upcoming Mi Note 3 will come with a 5.7-inch QHD curved AMOLED display.

Mi Note 3 is expected to come in two variants - one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and the second one will be a high-end one and is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with the latest version of MIUI 9 on top. Rumours suggest that it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor and will be backed by a 4070mAh, which will be non-removable battery. Mi Note 3 is also said to come with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology.





Pricing details of the Mi Note 3 leaked a few days ago. The 6GB RAM variant is expected to be priced around $599 which roughly translates to Rs 38,893. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM variant of the Mi Note 3 is expected to come with a price tag of $699, which is roughly around Rs 45,333.

The star of the Sept 11 launch event is said to be the Mi Mix 2. It will have a near bezel-less screen - with up to 93 per cent of screen-to-body ratio - almost like the original Mi Mix which was launched in October last year. The Mi Mix 2 is likely to retain the 6.4-inch screen size of the Mi Mix. Rumours suggest that the Mi Mix 2 is likely to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GBof RAM and Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 software under-the-hood.
