LG V30 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Ultimate Phablet Battle

The wait has ended for the long rumored LG V30 as the device has been unveiled at the IFA 2017 event which is going on in Berlin, Germany. The device has been leaking for quite a time now and this flagship device from LG does not come with any secondary display as it was rumored earlier. Moreover, the LG V30+ is also unveiled along with this device. The LG V30 comes with an Aluminum frame giving it an elegant look and it features a curved glass on both rear and front side. Both the devices will be available in South Korea starting from 21st of September and will be followed by other markets later.
Not long ago we have seen another South Korean company also unveiling it’s Galaxy Note 8 which is the successor of the Galaxy Note 7. Even after the faulty battery problem that everyone has faced with the Note 7 last year, there has been quite an impressive response in the market and would seem to fade away the bad experience. Now with the announcement of the LG V30 it will be really exciting to compare these two flagship devices and how both the South Korean companies will face each other in the market.
Design Comparison:
As said earlier the LG V30 will come with an Aluminum frame around and will be featuring a curved glass both on front and rear. It also comes with rounded edges giving better grip on the device and bezels are also thin compared to its predecessors. Moreover, LG has provided a thermal pad and heating pipe which will keep the smartphone cooler even after high usage. The new device will come include Silver, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet color options. There are on-screen capacitive buttons on the front for minimising the bezel size.
The Galaxy Note 8 from Samsung will feature an aluminum frame around similar to the LG V30 and it will have a glass sandwich design. On the front the Physical home button has been removed to save the space and the fingerprint sensor can be found on the rear. It will feature dual-edge design and also a dedicated Bixby button on the left. The Note 8 will be available in Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Maple Gold and Deep Sea Blue color variants.
The LG V30 measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.6mm and weighs 158g while the Galaxy Note 8 measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6mm and weighs 195g. Both the devices are IP68 water and dust proof certified while the LG V30 hold an edge with extra drop protection which will save the device from minor falls. The Note will come with the traditional stylus design but LG comes with a traditional design.
